this is very well done. a great perspective, but more than that i can almost feel what you felt and hear what you heard and i can almost sense the wind and the smell of the ocean from the excellence in your photo. that's the most important thing to me: if i can experience what the photographer experienced, then i think that really communicates. and communication is everything. well done

Lonliness and aloneness are not necessarily one and the same thing. The former is seeking some truths in life and the latter perhaps like the man in your phote has found it in solitude.
As for the birds...they are just fitting reminders that no one is truly ever alone...
