has been a member since Aug 2007 and goes by yrakha.

I am more of a writer than a photographer, but I'm convinced it is photography that will save me. I live mostly where I was born, that is literally at the edge separating a grassroots village-turned-shanty town from a modern neighborhood west of the Nile in Cairo. Thankfully I've been around. My vocation involves words and images to make sense of places. That's what I do - for a living, for a sense of fulfillment, for fun. I'm mad about Joseph Koudelka.
