My photographic journey of The Golden State began in Dec 2006 when I rewarded myself with a Nikon D50. Since then I have navigated the California coast from Marin Headlands in the north to Hearst Castle, then back to capture San Francisco and Napa Valley. I look for the unusual, the out of the way, the dramatic. Since my camera does most of the hard work, I am free to focus on the composition and lighting. I use automatic or scene settings and my style is more documentary than artistic.
