I am a writer, a professor, a photographer, a mother, a partner.

My academic writing and my photography work together to explore the world from opposite impulses: I write to clarify what is confusing or overlooked, and I photograph to render surprising what is otherwise all too familiar.

My cameras are all analog, and for the most part medium format.
