I am a mixed-media artist and community activist living in the East Village in NYC. When I work with photography, I prefer to use B&W film and old manual and semi-manual cameras. I also work with digital for quick documentation. I use my photography in small books that I make by hand in limited editions. I'm also a painter, and derive my imagery from photos I take. I have been documenting changes for better or worse, in NYC, particularly in my own neighborhood for over 25 years.
