i am a novice photographer residing in oakland, ca. i now have three lenses i use, one of which is behaving oddly and needs to be replaced. what i am quickly learning is that photo equipment is expensive, but totally worth it. i mostly shoot still-life stuff in my apartment. lame, i know. i love to see all the great photos on this site and look forward to contributing some of my own.. it's an awesome learning process. for the time-being, i am very much an 'amateur'. but i will get better at it..
