has been a member since Aug 2008 and goes by mpgarr59.

I have had a long time interest in photography dating back to my teenage years. I have always had some sort of camera, but never pursued it all that seriously.

In recent years I have done journalism for several community weekly newspapers and also doing freelance for a mid-sized metro daily here in Ohio.

I am now going to pursue photography more seriously and have started taking the Professional Photography course from the New York Institute of Photography.
