on the power of photography: i spoke with a female acquaintance today i've know for ten years. she confided that she and her husband, a photographer, had split up. she explained that one day she'd looked through all their photo albums and thousands of pictures on their computers in search of a single image of herself--and found none. she said that summed up their marriage--she just wasn't on his radar.
