i love the beach, the sand and the sound of the ocean. much of my subject matter is of long island beaches during the off-season. i take most of my photos from october through april, when the beaches are desolate. i want my photos to exude a sense of nostalgia for summertimes past. i am mesmerized by repetition and symmetry. as a result, geometric and organic patterns can be found in nearly all my pieces. i focus on the shapes both the subject and the negative space create.
