Ilona's work is an exploration of self identity continually assessing her placement in contemporary culture, with a glint of humour in her eye.

She completed a Bachelor of Visual Arts degree, major in photography, with distinction in 1998 and has been exhibiting regularly since then. Ilona grew up in country Victoria and now resides in Melbourne (Australia) with her husband, son, and Barkly the boxer.
