I'm a professional journalist but a strictly amateur photographer. My wife and I live in Washington, D.C. with Flora, our yellow lab. For the past 26 years, I've been mostly pointing-and-shooting my twin sons. Now that they're out of the house, I'd like to raise my photographic sights a bit.
