In the tradition of Woody Guthrie or Walt Whitman, I am first and foremost a folkographer, and have no interest in discussing the mechanics of image making. Rather, my fabric is quintessentially social and documentary in nature, with a lean towards collecting, crafting and transmitting stories of the people around me. After all we are stories, and no person alive is a stranger to weaving a good tale from our most basic ingredients: love, hunger, want, loss, desire, memory, hope, wish, dream.
