Susanne Stoop
I am Susanne Stoop – vintage 1945, born in Vlaardingen, living in Leiden, The Netherlands.
My work is often dark and brooding, expressing a bleak look into the void, primal fear, melancholy, searching for the absurd, the surreal.
My themes: Ferrara, windows, people, empty chairs, beach cabins, the streets and surfaces.
I published a book called “The Ferrara Streetbook. A walk in the footsteps of Giorgio Bassani”.
I participated in several exhibitions and won some prizes in photocontests
