I am relatively new to photography, coming to it via a somewhat backward route: a background in writing plus a lifelong love of movies led to screenwriting which led to indie filmmaking which led to studying photography academically (to improve cinematography) to falling in love with photography in its own right.

Because everything else I do involves thinking and "meaning," I like to use photography to not think, not chase meaning, but just to pursue pure beauty.
