I am a Boston-based photographer who specializes in 35mm black & white analog images. For me, photography is a way to transform the world, not reproduce it. My all-time favorite photo is by Jacques-Henri Lartigue: "Storm. Bibi, Irene, Arlette, Cannes, 1929." In addition to being super-sexy, Lartigue's image reminds me that the photographer is often removed--a step away--from whatever he/she is photographing.
