I am a writer and yet I found it difficult to start with "I am." I have authored books and magazine and newspaper articles, many with accompanying photos. I returned home from Maine in early July with 1200 photos and a few of them were pretty good. So I decided it was time to pursue this interest and see where it goes. I like to photograph unusual items, nature and scenery. Portraits are not my forte. I do much better with subjects such as cats and frogs.
