Discussion Guidelines

Be Nice

JPG is about inspiration and the joy of photography, so keep that in mind when commenting. We want to encourage people, and everyone should treat each other with respect. We will remove comments that are rude and disrespectful, but please don't make us do that.

Only Post Your Own Words

You can quote and link to other sources, but please don't post other people's stuff here wholesale.

You're Responsible for What You Say

We don't have anonymous comments on JPG. To leave a comment, you must register with the site. Your name is attached to all your comments, so don't write anything you don't want everyone to see.

Use Site Mail for Private Conversations

Don't let a discussion get out of hand. If you need to have a private conversation with someone use site mail.

Don't Use the Site to Spam People

Don't post comments that have no relation to the photo or story you are commenting on. This includes selling stuff and convincing people to vote for your photo.

Keep Things Succinct

Comments should be relatively short and to the point. If you have more to say, try writing a story or how-to.

We will delete comments that violate these guidelines and at that point we will give you a warning. We want to give second chances but continued violation of the guidelines will result in your account being deleted without further warning, so play nice.
